Fees and Charges

Fees are generally payable at the time of consultation

We accept cash, cheques, Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard and EFTPOS.

We do not accept American Express or Diners .


This is a private medical practice and we do not Bulk Bill

Medicare rebates are obtainable if you have a valid referral ONLY

This is your responsibility to obtain prior to the consultation

If you want to get money back from medicare a valid referral is required at the time of consultation.

Most consultations and procedures incur a gap payment (ie you will get a proportion only back from medicare when you give them our invoice).

This does vary with different procedures and the gap payment may vary from 50-70% of the bill as a guide.

Complex surgery, cosmetic surgery and vascular laser will be quoted prior to treatment and usually incurs a higher gap fee

Cosmetic procedures such as  injections for wrinkles and fillers do not receive a rebate from medicare. You will be quoted a fee for these services

Private Health Insurance relates to Hospital or Day Surgery Centres and are not relevant to consultations or procedures done in these rooms.

Moh’s Surgery and Vascular laser are performed in an accredited Day Surgery Centre at Westmead and you can receive additional rebates from most Private Health Insurance Funds. There are however still out of pocket fees applicable

Where a biopsy or excision is performed and tissue is sent to pathology you will receive a separate invoice from the pathology company involved. A significant amount of this is claimable back from medicare.

At our discretion

Full Pensioners are charged a reduced fee and get a higher proportion back from medicare.

Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)  Card holders have their account paid electronically and do not have any out of pocket expenses.


Medicare Safety Net

You may want to check your status with medicare in regards to the  Safety Net as once you incur over a certain amount of out of pocket costs in a 12 month period, you receive 80% rebate back from medicare. The thresholds vary depending on your circumstance.
